Fishing for the catch of a lifetime. . . Is A Sequence of Events

Seeing a marlin do a tail dance as it skips across the water trying to shed the hook is one         of life's most exhilarating moments . . .

Fishing Kona's calm, clear cobalt blue  waters can produce a large fish that can be a challenge to a novice or experienced angler.

Kona has a World Wide reputation for producing record Pacific Blue  Marlin throughout the year.

Other pelagic fish that can be caught in Kona Waters include Yellowfin Tuna, Mahimahi (Dolphin fish), Wahoo (Ono),   Shortbill Spearfish, Stripped Marlin, Black Marlin, and very occasionally, Sailfish.

It's a Fact!  A slow day of fishing beats any day at the office!  So, let's go fishing. . .  relax, you are enjoying the ride when all of a sudden, the reel goes off, line is peeling off , your head is spinning.

Now get in the fighting chair, feel the power, get into a rhythm, and reel like crazy!

Marlin at Leader                                                        Take Pictures, Tag and Release

We are often asked if we can guarantee a catch.  While we would love to say yes and put every angler into the fighting chair with fish like these,   we can't guarantee a catch.  We will make every effort to raise a fish, while providing a fun, safe and enjoyable day on the water.  We can assure you, however,  if you don't go fishing, you won't catch anything. . . !

We offer 1/2, 3/4 and full day charters.  All fishing equipment is provided and a fishing license IS NOT required.  We use Penn International two-speed reels and troll with surface lures most of the time.   We prefer to tag/release billfish and are happy to fillet any catch under 50# for your consumption.  If a billfish is boated, it belongs to the boat and crew.  However, we are happy to arrange for a  mount of your trophy catch for you.

                                         Other Notable Catches

We are often asked if we can guarantee a catch.  While we would love to say yes and put every angler into the fighting chair with fish like these,   we can't guarantee a catch.  We will make every effort to raise a fish, while providing a fun, safe and enjoyable day on the water.  We can assure you, however,  if you don't go fishing, you won't catch anything. . . !

We offer 4, 6,  7  and 8 hour charters.

For billfish caught and healthy at leader, we practice catch/tag and release.  For fish that are severely injured, or die during the fight, we will boat and take to the weigh station.  After the photos are taken, however, the catch goes to market with the sale proceeds going to the boat.  For other species under 50 pounds, Mahimahi,  Ahi or Ono, you may keep the fish or share it with the crew, your choice.
