Sport Fishing - Kona Style
Kona Sport Fishing is known world wide for its gentle winds, calm, clear, cobalt blue waters and big fish. Fishing Kona means an opportunity to catch a Pacific Blue Marlin. These fish can top a thousand pounds and will definitely test your strength and angling skills. Black Marlin, Stripped Marlin and the Short Bill Spearfish and a very occasional Sailfish round out the bill fish species that pass through our offshore waters. Yellowfin Tuna, MahiMahi (dolphin fish), and Wahoo (Ono) also frequent our coastal waters. We primarily troll using artificial lures. For the kids, we enjoy catching skip jack tuna with light bait casting rods when a bait school is spotted. We do, on occasion troll live bait.
Our goal is to have a fun and safe day on the water. While we cannot guarantee a fish, we will make every effort toward that end. Any fish caught under 30 pounds we will fillet for you to take if requested.
